Blog Prompt: Is Polarization a Bad Thing?

I think my thoughts on this issue are currently best summed up by former Fox News Commentator, Sally Kohn's TEDtalk about talking to people who disagree with you. She essentially says our arguments are more about talking past each other than to each other. In my previous post I readdressed the polarized discourse we currently have and I think it perpetuates biased opinions. Engaging in more emotionally correct and civil discourse I think is the beginning of fixing this issue. It's not as entertaining of simple but neither is the world we live in.
